‘mohawk jones’

winter 2017 Collection

Somewhere between 2015 and 2016, ‘Mohawk Jones’ started as a series after various discussions on the next collection with RVCA. Originally the headdress was drawn resting on a skull in a bed of diamonds (think Pirates of the Caribbean); however the skull can be a bit “controversial”. Later, RVCA asked Kelsey to draw it on the caribou featured in ‘Roadside’ which led to ‘Hawkins Jones’ which ultimately led to simply, the headdress. As the saying goes, less is more.

Introducing ‘Mohawk Jones’ featured in RVCA’s 2017 Winter Women’s collection.
